What should I expect for my first visit?

We want you to feel completely at ease before you ever sit in the chair. Here is what you can expect at your first appointment with us:

Warm welcome at the front desk — Our team will greet you, collect your completed new patient forms, and verify your insurance information
Health history review — Your dentist or hygienist will take a few minutes to review your medical and dental history and discuss any concerns or goals you have for your smile
Comprehensive oral examination — One of our doctors will perform a thorough examination of your teeth, gums, jaw, and oral tissues, including screening for signs of gum disease and oral cancer
Digital X-rays — We use low-radiation digital X-rays to get a complete picture of your oral health
Professional cleaning — In most cases, your first visit will include a full professional cleaning by one of our experienced hygienists
Personalized treatment plan — If any concerns are identified, we will discuss your options clearly and without pressure, and develop a plan that fits your goals and budget

Your first visit typically lasts about 60-90 minutes. We serve new patients from throughout Woodstock, Canton, Holly Springs, Towne Lake, and the greater Cherokee and Cobb County areas.

Insurance & Payment Information

Dentistry of Olde Towne accepts most PPO dental insurance plans. We are in-network with Cigna, BCBS (Grid+), and United Healthcare. With a PPO plan, your benefits can still be used at any dentist you choose, and we see hundreds of families with plans such as Guardian, Delta Dental, Aetna, Humana and more that use their benefits here. If you have questions or concerns if your plan will work with our office, please contact us and let us help guide you through that.
